One of the first stops while in Valle de Guadalupe was Trentino. We checked into the hotel, unpacked our bags, and then jumped back on the road to get dinner for our first night in town. After an easy ten-minute drive, we pulled into the restaurant, right off the Ruta del Vino. Walking past their doors, you immediately notice that Trentino Restaurante has the kind of warm welcome that makes you instantly relax. You speak with the hostess, slide into your seat, and let the tone of the space (both inside and outside) set the direction for your evening.

The dining room itself strikes a lovely balance: elegant enough to dress up for, yet unpretentious enough to feel comfortable in something casual. Everyone and their own particular style is welcome. Large windows and soft, atmospheric lighting created a cozy glow, while the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills provided views that whispered for you to drop your shoulders and ease into the evening. The cherry on top, was the service. It was gracious without being stuffy and helpful without hovering.
As for the food, it was delicious. We ordered the Lasagna Trentino ($495 MXN, $27 USD), layered with béchamel fresca, mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, and a rich meat sauce. It was hearty, comforting, with that delightful golden crust that speaks to both skill and love. Then came the Pappardelle Short Rib ($525 MXN, $29 USD), served with silky burrata cheese and melt-in-your-mouth slow-cooked beef ribs. Each bite was what I had hopped for after a long drive from LA to Valle. The pasta was al dente, the sauce savory but not heavy, and the richness of it all was cut beautifully by the light creaminess of the burrata.
If you’re looking for a place in Valle de Guadalupe that delivers on views, ambiance, and food that feels both elevated and welcoming, then Trentino is it. Whether you’re dressing up for date night or keeping it comfy after wine tasting, it makes for a memorable meal that you’ll be glad you experienced.
