cream cheese frosting and pecan sauce on a cinnamon roll?! hot damn, yes please right now. i was in laguna beach last weekend but it was for a hike in the burning sun (which was a lot less enjoyable than i bet this was).

Hmmm a hike of food, a hike or food. I think we both know the latter won in that match up. But I don’t believe it will be as good for your body! Love that you got to spend some time in the pretty city, next time you’re there I hope you can enjoy the gorgeous views at this restaurant!

This sounds crazy but I would totally sit in traffic for an hour, and I have, for a good brunch. I know you aren’t the biggest lover of breakfast Danielle, but I love it enough for the both of us. This view is pretty awesome-sauce. Grapefruits always give me trouble when I eat them, but this Grapefruit Brulee might be worth the trouble, and the mess. I’m going to stay far far away from that cinnamon roll. I have a rule about sweets at breakfast; I’m not allowed to leave any on the plate…. so ;). Hello, Crab Cake Benedict… I think I love you. I know I love that big hunk of avocado you come with.

Isn’t that the funny part about life? I wouldn’t voluntarily sit at the DMV for an hour for anything but I’d sit in traffic for an hour if it meant I would get brunch. Is there something wrong with us, lol? You can totally love it for the both of us and I won’t be mad about it. But wait, why can’t you eat grapefruits?

What gorgeous plates of food! I could tell by the way you wrote of your experience this time, the place is so worth the drive and beyond. There’s a calming effect we get when food is just perfection and I completely devoured all of the beautiful pictures with my eyeballs. It’s been a while since I stopped by this awesome space and coming here today, reminds me why I love your personality so much! Just reading about your observation about Ricardo treating everyone equally as energetic made me adore you even more, Danielle! 😀

I love love love the calming effect that comes with great food. it’s like the ultimate point of relaxation and happiness. Can we just be smothered in it forever? And I’m so glad you made your way back. Whatever took you away is ok, but as long as you have time to come back then I’m a happy little blogger.
